Andrew Cullum is a lifelong Encinitas resident known for using old-world techniques to create exquisite hand-carved pieces. His work reflects a deep appreciation of nature and a coordination of movement and structure.
Andrew's expertise in fine woodworking and his attention to artistic detail makes his work sought after by businesses and homeowners looking for unique custom designs. His furniture, mantels, and hand-carved doors grace some of San Diego's finest homes, from La Jolla to Rancho Santa Fe.
Andrew's skill in woodworking was recognized early on, winning first-place in the youth division at the Del Mar Fair’s Woodworking Exposition. Ten years in the Cedros Design District in Solana Beach gave Andrew valuable experience working with other artisans and woodworkers to broaden his knowledge of artistic design, home furnishings, cabinetry and installations.
Today, Andrew's work is displayed around the world.
Fine Woodworking in Encinitas
Andrew created the Italian Provincial mantel currently in our living room. Working from authentic drawings of the period, he created a beautiful centerpiece blending with the existing cabinetry and furniture perfectly. We would use Andrew Cullum for any project in our home using wood where we wanted a quality outcome.
John and Rachel Henderson, Encinitas
We wanted a unique front door to match the unusual and modern design of our home. Andrew worked with our designers to give us a substantial wood front entrance which managed to be both modern and hand crafted at the same time. Thanks again, Andrew.
Bill Thomas, Rancho Santa Fe, California
We needed panels with carved grapes reminiscent of the winery we owned in Northern California. Our panels came out perfectly. Andrew continues to do work for us as we carrry this theme onto the mantel in the living room.
